Fellowship-trained ophthalmologist Dr. Yufei Tu is a glaucoma expert at New York Eye and Glaucoma Specialist PLLC: Yufei Tu, MD, in the Flushing district of Queens in New York City. Dr. Tu has extensive experience treating both common and complicated eye disorders, from eye infections, allergies, and dry eyes to cataracts and glaucoma. His comprehensive expertise is recognized by his fellow ophthalmologists, who regularly refer patients with complex glaucoma to him. After completing his residency at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, in Newark, New Jersey, Dr. Tu undertook fellowships in glaucoma and eye pathology at Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts Eye and Ear in Boston. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society. In addition to his exceptional skills and qualifications, Dr. Tu has an excellent bedside manner and is very popular with his patients.  Dr. Tu is a highly skilled surgeon. He performs cataract surgery with a femtosecond laser and fits presbyopia-correcting lens implants. He uses the finest cutting-edge lasers and surgical methods, including the latest breakthroughs in microinvasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS). Dr. Tu is also an outstanding scholar who’s designed and collaborated on many National Institutes of Health (NIH)-sponsored, FDA-approved clinical trials, and extensively published research into various eye diseases in leading medical journals.
