Chipotle Mexican Grill

    Chipotle Mexican

Chipotle was one of the first chains to offer its customer base a high-quality quick service Mexican option for lunch and dinner. The chain prides itself on only using the freshest ingredients from its fajita chicken meat to the veggies. At some of the locations, the ingredients even come from local producers within the communities.

The model for Chipotle is one of the main reasons for the chain’s quick success. The company decided to increase their sales and popularity they would place chains by colleges and within towns that have a high population of high school and college students.

    Hours and Locations

Almost every Chipotle location has the same set of hours, opening at 10:45am and closing at 10:00pm Monday through Sunday. Even though nearly all locations operate on the same hours, it is a good idea to check the operating hours of the location closest to you before making a food run. Keep in mind hours could be different on holidays like New Year's day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Good Friday and Black Friday. Hours.com is often used by people who are trying to find out if “there is a Chipotle near me, that’s open today”.

Our restaurant locator will help you locate the closest store and the hours of operation. With more than 2,500 locations globally, it is easy to find a chain usually within 50 miles of where you currently are. This is especially true for California, Texas, Ohio, and Florida who each have over 150 stores.

    A Brief History

Chipotle was founded in 1993 by Steve Ells and called Denver, Colorado home for its first location. In order for the store to be profitable, Ells and his father determined he would need to sell at least 107 burritos per day. After only a month, the restaurant was selling well over 1,000 burritos a day. To continue the growth of Chipotle Ells dad invested $1.5 million into the company. One of the main factors of the company’s success was that each new store was placed in close proximity to colleges taking advantage of the student base.
