A Brief History

The Carrabba’s restaurant was a family creation by John Charles Carrabba and his uncle Damian Mandola. Both wanted to open a place where families could come and enjoy the food from their homelands in Italy. Many of the recipes that were used in the original dishes are still being used today and were created by Damian’s sister and mother.  As they grew the company through partnerships with Outback Steakhouse they wanted to keep a majority of the chain in Florida, which is why over 70 locations still reside there today. The original two locations that started it all are still owned by Johnny Carrabba and his family.
