    A Brief History

Buffalo Wild Wings was founded in 1982 by a group of friends, Jim Disbrow, Scott Lowrey and Bernard Spencer. The group got together after a figure skating contest, in which Disbrow was a judge, for dinner and could not find a good wing restaurant. Soon after the friends decided they wanted to open a wing restaurant of their own. Within a year the first location was established in Columbus, OH and the second location was in Westerville, OH. The company began franchising in 1990 which allowed for the company to blossom into one of the world’s largest chicken restaurant chain.
