    A Brief History

Bob Evans, founded in 1948 by Bob Evans himself, has grown to be one of the prominent breakfast food suppliers and restaurant in the country. Originally Evans began processing packaged sausage for a small diner he owned at the time. The sausage was an immediate hit and the reputation of his product began to spread. People would travel for miles and miles to try the delicious food leaving the Homestead Farm. The popularity was so strong that Evans decided to open a restaurant on the property in 1962. Over the next 40 years the company would make strategic relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and packagers to help move their sausage to retail supermarkets. The menu continued to evolve as well and the restaurants have seen great success for the past 70 years.
