Timing is everything and it was exactly how we ended up acquiring Gun Dog House Door ® from the original founder, Carl H. Altenbernd. We just so happened to stop at Carl’s on a return trip from an AKC Horseback Field Trial and before we knew it, Carl mentioned he was looking to retire after more than 25 years of developing the company. It didn't take us long to decide that we wanted to own Gun Dog House Door and continue Carl's vision of offering the finest small to extra large dog door and kennel products on the market. Before acquiring the company, we used Gun Dog House Door ® products in our kennel for more than 10 years.
